King of the Road is a Grammy-winning country classic written by Roger Miller in 1964. The song is a favorite of pedal steel players but works equally well on lap steel. These two E9th arrangements and one C6th arrangement explore different ways to make the tune interesting including using pedal point licks, two and three-note chords and triplet licks.
