EBB TIDE is a popular song, written in 1953 by lyricist Carl Sigman and composer Robert Maxwell. The song’s build up is meant to illustrate ocean waves coming in and out to shore. Many musicians, including steel guitarists like Jerry Byrd, have covered the song and it has since achieved standard status. My arrangement for C6th lap steel, in the original key of C, is adapted from a beautiful version for solo classical guitar by Laurindo Almeida.
Included here is the music and tab for both the electric steel guitar and the standard acoustic guitar.

Note: Midi audio usually sounds closer to a keyboard than a steel guitar but it is useful for demonstrating the rhythms, feel and overall intent of an arrangement or musical passage. Make this music come alive on your steel guitar!
