“Cast Your Fate To the Wind” won a Grammy Award in 1963 for “Best Original Jazz Composition” and has been covered by many artists in a wide range of genres. Vince Guaraldi’s original arrangement for piano was in the key of Ab. My arrangement for steel guitar is in the key of C.   Guaraldi’s original bridge featured this chord progression: Ab7, Eb7, Ab7, Eb7 in a swing feel. My arrangement uses the alternative bridge in a straight 8th feel composed by nylon-string jazz guitarist Earl Klugh combined with a few of my own ideas.
