Come Together was written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney. The song is the opening track on their 1969 album Abbey Road. The song has frequently appeared on numerous publications’ lists of the         Beatles’ best songs. My arrangement is an interpretation of the song for lap steel, rather than a note-for-note copy. The pickup bar features a fast slide from fret 12 to the open D string. The riff that first appears in that bar uses muted, raked strings in imitation of the phone dial effect the Beatles used.
