“Oye Cómo Va” is a 1962 by Tito Puente, originally written as a cha-cha-chá. The song achieved worldwide popularity in 1970, when it was recorded by American rock group Santana for their album Abraxas. The songs origins are multinational — Cuban, Puerto Rican and American. It’s been covered by numerous  artists from all over the world and makes a fun tune for steel guitar.
